End of an Era as the Astoria Ballroom in Bundoran is gutted by Fire

At 23:09hrs on the 29th November 2008, Bundoran Fire Brigade were called to a fire at the Famous and renowned Astoria Ballroom. The Ballroom was an inferno in a matter of minutes. Backup Brigades were called in from Ballyshannon, Donegal Town & Belleek, as we fought the raging fire all through the night. Saddened locals could not believe their eyes as the Famous Bundoran Astoria Ballroom was totally engulfed by flames.
